Double glazing is great for energy efficiency
If you were to look around the rooftops of the properties around Ipswich and Suffolk last week, it was easy to tell which houses were lacking a little in the energy efficiency department; rooftop after rooftop would be covered in deep snow with the odd house in between looking oddly snow free. This isn’t a microclimate of sun above those houses, but rather an indication that much of the house’s heat is being lost through the roof and melting the snow. If you have a traditional glass-roofed conservatory, that issue can be chronic, but easily remedied with the patented Warmer Roof system.
So as much as we love getting under a thick blanket, tapping the thermostat up a couple of notches and closing over the curtains, wouldn’t it be better if our house was double glazed and doing the warming up for us?
